Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

eteWallet is a software platform operated by ETEWALLET LTD (Company No. 17456319), registered office: 167-169 Great Portland Street, 5th Floor, London, England, W1W 5PF. Website: https://etewallet.com. See also the Terms & Conditions and Disclaimer.

Privacy contact: support@etewallet.com · info@etewallet.com

2. Data we collect

• Account data: name, email, phone number, password hash, locale, and profile photo if you upload one.
• Identity / verification data where required: documents and address details you submit for verification and limit increases.
• Platform activity: platform balances (internal ledger), transfer requests, money requests, funding events, Egypt payouts via providers, merchant payments, invoices, and virtual-card load/spend events (not full PAN/CVV stored by the platform after reveal).
• Security and device data: IP address, user-agent, session tokens, authentication events (including SMS OTP and authenticator/TOTP where enabled).
• Support correspondence you send to our contact channels.

3. Why we use data (purposes)

• To create and operate your personal or merchant account on the software platform.
• To process payments via licensed processors, update the internal ledger, submit transfer requests to specialised providers, and load virtual cards where enabled.
• To prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access; to apply limits and compliance controls.
• To meet legal, tax, accounting, and other obligations that apply to the Company as a software business.
• To provide customer support and improve reliability of the service.

We do not sell your personal data.

4. Processors and sharing

Card acquiring, local pay-in/payout rails, virtual-card programs (via a licensed issuer / program manager), SMS delivery, email delivery, and analytics (where enabled) are provided by licensed or contracted service providers under agreements with the Company. We share only what is needed to operate the platform, prevent fraud, and meet legal duties — and those providers process data under their own privacy terms where they act as independent controllers or under our instructions as processors.

We may disclose data when required by law, court order, or competent authority, or to protect the rights, safety, and integrity of users and the platform.

5. SMS and mobile messaging

When you provide a mobile number and request a verification or security code, we use that number to send transactional SMS (one-time passwords and similar security messages). Frequency is limited to authentication and security. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of eteWallet SMS or HELP for help. Mobile numbers and SMS opt-in are not shared with third parties for their marketing.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies for login sessions and language, and analytics cookies where enabled. See our Cookie Policy for the current list.

7. Retention and security

We retain account and transaction records for as long as needed to operate the service, handle disputes, and meet legal retention periods. We use HTTPS encryption in transit, access controls, session invalidation controls, and operational monitoring appropriate to a software platform that connects to payment providers.

8. Your rights

Depending on your location (including EU GDPR where applicable), you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a copy of personal data, subject to legal exceptions (for example anti-fraud and record-keeping duties). Email support@etewallet.com.

9. Changes

We may update this policy as the product or law changes. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we publish a material revision.
